Delegation From UCCZ Visiting June 17-28

Updated: Aug 3

Find updates on the delegations trip here.

Rev. John Matiza, president of UCCZ, and his wife, Ketani Matiza, will be in New Hampshire from Friday June 16 through Thursday morning June 29. We regret that other invited guests will not be with them because their visa applications were not approved. But we’ve developed a schedule which we believe will make for a very fruitful time among us.

We’ve scheduled three public gatherings while they are here:

Friday evening June 23 at the Wakefield Church

Monday evening June 26 at Brookside Church in Manchester

(an all-Ukama gathering, potluck dinner and program)

Tuesday evening at a church TBD in the Monadnock area

Everyone is welcome at any of these events. We’ll update details on our Ukama page after we’ve coordinated with the host congregations.

In addition, the Matiza’s will be joining selected churches for worship and/or meals and fellowship.

We do regret that we could not accommodate every request for a time with our guests, but we’ve done the best we can with just two visitors, who, for the most part, will be traveling together.

Following their time with us, the Matiza’s will be attending the UCC General Synod in Indianapolis.

They will have room for packets of letters and other items which they can take to our partner churches. Please get your packets to a member of the Ukama Mission Group by Tuesday, June 27. Additionally, if you plan to send money, please let Sara Marean know by way of an email to smarean@nhcucc.org. Funds need to come as cash.

Much of the expenses for this visit are covered by OCWM funding of the Conference’s Mission and Spending Plan. However, we appreciate any additional financial support you can provide. You may mail a check to the Conference office. We will have donation baskets at each of the gatherings.

Please be in prayer that God will enable us to make the most of the Matiza’s visit.
